Listening, Reading, Thinking, Shopping, Watching / 22
In this edition: The intimate realism of a celebrated Spanish artist; reflections on one book just finished and another newly begun; a beautiful film recently viewed, and so much more.
On what feels like the five-thousandth day of winter, thought I’d lead with a chic winter picnic, in an attempt to put a positive spin on this rather dreary season. While I can’t imagine lasting long in this snowy dreamscape—as I’m perpetually cold—there’s something undeniably enchanting about it. The cosy blankets nestled into their white alcove, the champagne chilling naturally in the snow, and that spectacular view of the ski slopes beyond the treeline all add to the charm. If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a summer girl through and through. Welcome back to ‘Listening, Reading, Thinking, Shopping, Watching’—a curated look into my digital life through open tabs, screenshots, search history, and notes. This week's collection explores everything from interior design trends (including decorating with classical busts and platform beds); the work of a Spanish realist who reveals her life through intimate paintings of personal objects and lived-in rooms; a study in contrasts through two distinct kitchens; some February finds for your shopping cart; and more...

DÉCOR /decorating with busts
We first wrote about decorating with busts in Moments and Musings /003. Since then, we’ve amassed such an inspiring collection of images showcasing these classical pieces in modern spaces that a Part Two at TIG seemed inevitable. Each image reveals new ways to interpret and style these timeless sculptures, from minimalist marble busts adding interest to sleek shelving units, to ornate antique finds bringing character to mantels and consoles. These pieces continue to captivate and elevate interiors in surprising ways, proving essential to thoughtful, layered design.
