Earlier this week, I read that relationship satisfaction at age 50 is a better predictor of physical health at age 80 than cholesterol levels.

That loneliness – even in a crowd – is as significant a risk factor as smoking or alcoholism for early death.

That what matters most is not having many friends, but having someone you can rely on when things fall apart.

And that people in secure relationships tend to hold on to their memories for longer.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.
