Stealth wealth; a Parisian seafood spot; block heel jelly sandals; an eco-conscious boutique hotel in Hyères, a short film review; Grotto Girl summer, and more
We’re back with our regular series, ‘Listening, Reading, Thinking, Shopping’, which is essentially a glimpse inside my mind: open tabs, Screenshots folder, Search History, Notes app, etc. These round-ups are a carefully curated compilation of things that I’ve seen and have been inspired by over the course of the week or so. This edition includes a Parisian seafood resaurant in our “On our List” series; more nineties fashion inspiration; thoughts on Stealth Wealth; a chic eco-conscious hotel on the shores of the Mediterranean; another one of my short film reviews, and more. A very warm welcome to all of our new paid subscribers.

HOTEL LILOU
Four years ago, we highlighted the work of design duo Kim Haddou and Florent Dufourcq, and their style remains perfectly chic today. Recently, we discovered Lilou, the charming boutique hotel they designed, nestled in the coastal town of Hyères, France, along the shores of the Mediterranean. Lilou is one of those places that avoids having televisions in its rooms, changes towels and linens only upon request, and even uses pouches from a French brand supporting women's empowerment in India to house its hair dryers. These thoughtful details create an atmosphere of mindful tranquility and eco-friendly consciousness.
BLOCK HEEL JELLIES
While I was initially skeptical about the comeback of jelly sandals, this block heel pair by The Row may have won me over. Unfortunately, they are currently unavailable on the brand's website or elsewhere, and the Mara Flats keep selling out. However, you can still find great alternatives from Ancient Greek Sandals.
