As it turns out, what I'm attracted to and what I can live with are two very different things
I have this idea that what I really want is to live in a brightly-coloured Bohemian-romantic jewel-box of a home somewhere between an Italian palazzo and a Swedish country house. I am inexplicably drawn to these spaces, pinning them and saving them for the day I finally decide to paint the sitting room an impossibly bold colour or wallpaper it in a mad mix of prints and patterns.
